Power, Welfare and Democracy Scholarship Program for Master and Doctoral degree in UGM and University of Oslo

This project aims at a strategic effort to support activists’ network to promote the development of democracy in Indonesia. There are several allocated grants in this project to involve activists/researchers/scholars who are committed to participate in achieving project mission, and at the same time attain master or doctoral degree in University of Gadjah Mada.

This program provides Master degree scholarship for experienced researcher, activists and scholars to conduct research in the study area of PWD project. Scholarship grantees will gain:

  • Monthly allowance to stay in Jogjakarta during the term of the study.
  • Full time tuition fee for Master program for two years (four semesters) in Master program of Politics and Government, Faculty of Social and Political Science UGM.
  • Full time tuition fee for Doctoral program for four years (eight semesters) in Doctorate program in Political science in Politics and Government, Faculty of Social and Political Science UGM.
  • Research grant for thesis writing

Submission of substantive paper is on May 31, 2013 at the latest, which consists of:

  • Paper focus on one of PWD project themes (citizenship and public, variety and practice of welfare, and local democracy) in 3,000-3,500 words
  • Application Form
  • Personal statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Most current TPA or PAPS score (still valid)
  • Most current AcEPT, IELTS or TOEFL scores (still valid)
